Business Travel Made Easy

Are you a female entrepreneur, leader or businesswoman who travels for business?

If you're a frequent traveller, packing a capsule wardrobe will be your best friend. This small but mighty collection of items helps you create numerous outfits without having to pack your whole wardrobe, saving you time, perfect whilst you're away, leaving you to concentrate on business.

With more of us travelling abroad for work, I've put together my Top 8 hacks to help you pack for your trip;

Hand luggage will be your best friend

The smaller the case, the better. There is no need for check-in, bag drop-offs or waiting at the other end in baggage reclaim with your fingers crossed, hoping your case will come through quickly.

Packing a capsule wardrobe will save you time & stress

If you travel even for a few days, a capsule wardrobe will be your best friend; it's all in the planning;

  • Think how many days you will be away.
  • Work out your itinerary, what you will do, and who you will see.
  • Check the weather forecast to ensure you take the right items.
  • Use items that all work together. Think block colours & prints, saving you time packing & hassle when you arrive at your destination.
  • Accessories will always help finish off your outfit.

A stylish outfit that travels well & is comfortable for the plane.....your shoes could be an extra pair you didn't need to pack.

Being comfortable on the plane is essential, but you don't have to travel in your joggers! A great alternative is wide-legged jersey trousers (relaxed, no cling), maybe a soft coloured knit to keep you warm on the plane, trainers so you can walk with speed & comfort through the airport and a lightweight jacket, perfect for all weather conditions.

Fabrics are essential; think of those that don't crease. There's no need to iron whilst you're away.

Jersey, cotton, wool & denim are great fabrics to travel with as they don't crease, and there is no ironing whilst you're away, saving you more time & effort.

Calculate how many days you'll be away

You can create the outfits before you leave home by working out the number of days you will be away. I'm doing this more & more now for my clients & it's proving to be a game changer.

Work out your daily & evening schedule

If you know your evenings might be entertaining clients or with business colleagues, see if & how you can take your day outfit to night by changing the shoes, swapping the jacket or even changing the colour of your lipstick. This is all about ensuring your capsule wardrobe works hard for you while you are away.

Extra Tips:

  • Think capsule....trousers/skirts that mix with tops & blazer, a dress that works with the blazer, etc.
  • Shoes that complement all the outfits will save room in your hand luggage.

Please don't stress or worry yourself. Follow my tips, and you'll pack efficiently & effectively.
