Is Your Office Making You Money?

I want to let you know that you can open the doors to making more money in your own home or office just by moving things around. I’m not referring to the property value of your home.

Yes, I am talking about the centuries-old art of feng shui.

Feng shui is literally defined as wind and water, as ‘feng’ means wind and ‘shui’ means water.

The philosophy of feng shui is a practice of arranging furniture and accessories in your living spaces in order to create balance with the natural world. The goal is to harness the energy forces around us and establish harmony between us and our environment.

So, how can you use this ancient method to bring more money and opportunities into your life?

Before we start moving any furniture, we need to understand that in feng shui every area of your home/room has a designated spot for health, love, family, wealth, career, etc. So, we need to know where the wealth area is in your home/room/office

There are 2 ways of finding this out:

1. The Traditional Method (you will need a compass) - The wealth corner of any room, building, or home is in the southeast corner (112° to 157.5°).

2. The Western or Black Hat Method (an easier method for people like me who are not great with using a compass) - Using the entry door facing into your home/room, the wealth corner is the back left corner of any room, building or home.

Now you know where your corner is in your room, what do you need to do to start making that abundance flow in?

When your feng shui money area has the right energy, your house (or office/business) is then able to attract and hold the energy of wealth and money. This energy will also reflect in others of your life, so do your best to apply as many of the tips below as possible. Feng shui has much more science in its method; I am just sharing the very general things in order to open up your home to abundance.

OFFICE DESK

Your desk should be facing the door to your room so that you can see it clearly without any blocks in front of it. If you have your back to the door then this is blocking opportunities from coming in, as energetically you are saying ‘no’. Position your desk in a better place so that you are welcoming the energy in.

USING COLOURS

The colours are associated with the 5 elements and help to bring wealth into your life (in all forms). You can use the colours or the elements below and incorporate them in your money corner /home/office:

• Water feeds wood (green and tan)
• Wood fuels fire (red, orange, purple, pink)
• Fire produces earth (ochre and brown)
• Earth creates metal (gold, silver, white, brass, copper, bronze, iron)
• Metal attracts water (black and blue)

You don’t need to start redecorating the house, but just changing your accessories will do the trick to bring these colours and elements in.

DECLUTTER

Imagine what it would be like if you wanted to get out of your home but you had boxes and clutter stacked to the top. How hard would you find it to move around? That is what the universal energy is facing with your clutter. 

Therefore, always declutter every area of your home/office (including all the cupboards/draws, etc). If you do this every 3-6 month then you will find that it’s easier to maintain and takes less time to do in the long term. You want the energy around you to flow and not become stagnant.

ORGANISE

Being able to find what you are looking for is about saving time and energy, and not wasting that. You don’t need to be OCD about it, but most things should have designated areas so that you know where to go when you are looking for something. Rich people are successful because they don’t waste time - they use every second wisely.

ACCESSORISING YOUR HOME/OFFICE

Have as many living plants in your home as possible. Have strong images/accessories depicting water flowing - in your living area or office space - as this encourages things to keep flowing around you.

We’ve talked about what things you can do to help money flow in, now let’s look at a few things to avoid in your feng shui money area.

Make sure that none of these objects are anywhere near to your money area as they will counteract the energy flow:

• Bins
• Clutter
• Broken things
• Bills you haven't paid

I hope the above helps you in opening the door to more abundance in your life/wealth area.

Remember, these things help with the flow of energy, but you still need to do the hard work to make sure that they manifest in your life.
