Thank You For Being You, We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

I write to you curled up on my bed with a sleeping kitten (Nelly) on my chest. While quietly typing isn't the easiest around a snoring 3-month-old kitten, I am risking my fingers to reach out to you today, the day before the magic of Christmas Eve, to let you know how grateful I am to have you in my community. 

I also want to extend a huge thank you to each of the 24 businesses and community members who took up a spot on our Virtual Advent Calendar in association with FACT Cancer support. As someone who always works as a volunteer at Christmas, I felt pretty low that the usual cooking/ serving giant quantities of Christmas dinners, collecting and distributing warm coats and just giving people a place to be on Christmas Day couldn't happen this year. This initiative didn't only serve to help an incredible charity out financially. It also served as a small way to still be involved in what I consider to be the most important of values at this time of year. Charity. This couldn't have happened without you, thank you.

I could go into the utter shitshow that 2020 has been, but you know what? It's almost Christmas, and I don't want to give any energy to that stuff. It happened to all of us, worldwide and if you're reading this you're still here, and for that alone I am grateful. As we move towards 2021, we can catch our breath, recuperate and find strength in each other, remember, you are never alone here. 

From the bottom of my heart, thank you again for being part of my world, reading the magazine, following the blogs, joining the masterclasses, and sending me your awesome emails. You've made me laugh until my stomach aches and cry with gratitude in 2020. I have LOVED hearing about and celebrating your wins. You are a constant source of inspiration and energy, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I have some pretty exciting announcements coming up in the next few weeks for those of you ready to step up and out into 2021 so watch this space. But, for now, I will wish you the happiest of holidays. Even though our table numbers may be restricted this year, remember that the pandemic cannot limit love. From my home to yours, may your Christmastime be filled with cosy blankets, steamy mugs of hot chocolate, and a brand new journal filled full of big hopes & dreams for 2021.
