That Girl Knows; How To Work From Home

COVID-19 came crashing into our lives in March 2020, changing the way the world will work forever. That’s the way many people may see it, but for me, the world has been operating virtually for over a decade. Since June 21, 2006, I have successfully worked remotely from anywhere in the world and have helped thousands of people do the same.

So what’s new? Nothing at all.

Many professionals, small businesses and Fortune 50 companies have been operating from home or remotely for nearly two decades. Thinking back, I was shocked when I discovered I discovered I could make a lucrative living from home, it blew my mind. Consequently, I began to enjoy a life that relieved me of the “rat race” of brick and mortar circular work ultimately lead to a full-time, 14-year career of entrepreneurial freedom.

How did it all begin

In 2006, my corporation became the first of three companies to receive subcontract work from Arise Virtual Corporation. Arise has been shaking up the call centre industry for more than 25 years, creating innovative solutions that enable companies to contract their workforce (to work virtually) and implement automation systems. That ultimately lead to me developing an outsourcing firm and becoming the top contractor on several freelance platforms

Looking back, I’ve assisted thousands of business owners with minute to gigantic projects. One time, we secured a white label contract to input and verify business on Google. Also, while working from home, we processed inbound calls for the American Idol franchise. We’ve had some pretty awesome experiences. It didn’t take long before I was averaging about $22 per hour. That was pretty cool without even leaving my house.

After learning about these many virtual opportunities, I immediately began to spread the word within my community, teaching work from home workshops and seminars at my facility, community colleges, universities and also virtually. The seminars became recognised worldwide, I recall news reporters flying in to speak with me. Once I was even featured in a clip on Good Morning America during Tory Johnson’s work from home segment.

To date, we have worked with the following industries from home: infomercials, medical, retail, janitorial, multi-level marketing, automotive, entertainment, amusement parks, financial institutions, educators and federal, state, industrial, government municipalities, design, marketing, and real estate just to name a few.
