Female CEO readers, please enjoy our interview!

Hi Tavia, We love interviewing multi-talented women in business like yourself. We are excited to learn more about you and your successful career.

First, it's not easy being a mom and career woman. What are some tips you can share with others to continue to be the best mom and businesswoman?

Two tips that I can give are finding a balance between both and never neglecting your body, mind, and time. Life is about balance and knowing when it's time to really focus on what's right in front of you. I had to create a mental clock to stop working. Simply because I never wanted my children to feel like work was more important than they were. Also, some of us miss meals, stay involved in tasks that will ultimately bear no fruit, and some of us keep going and ignore the signs to rest. Life will happen regardless.

The future is indeed female. We applaud you for creating such an impactful platform. What takes place, and what do you have coming up that we can be on the lookout for?

I started FIF because I felt there was no support for women over 30. Some women are finally pursuing their passions versus working a job to keep food on the table but have no one to talk to, no one to give that extra push or assurance without it being attached to an invoice, so that is what we do. We connect, we uplift, and we support each other. At our events, women get the knowledge they need to push forward in a safe space that includes wine and food.

We took significant notice of your entertainment blogs on ThisIS50. You're a fantastic writer. How do you choose the stories you want to write about?

Well, first, thank you! Honestly, whatever inspires me. I write my opinion on trending topics, give feedback about what I'm watching, and report the news how it comes.

What do you enjoy most about the public relations industry as a publicist? Are you currently seeking new clients?

I love most taking an artist whose music I love and getting the media to jump on board. It's so fulfilling to look at an artist and see the growth that your placements contributed to. I am currently gearing up for SXSW (South by Southwest) 2022, so I am not looking for new clients.

You are a huge inspiration for women who aspire to take flight in the media and public relations industry. Also, you empower others by paying opportunities forward regularly. Who have been some instrumental people at the beginning of your career?

Women that continue to support me and are instrumental to me are Elaine Hamilton, Deb Antney, Roberta Shields, Saptosa Foster, Beatrice Dixon, Darlene Malone, and Shauna Hervey remind of my strength and my purpose. They challenge me to rely on my faith and motivate me to move forward.

What do you see this year looking like for you?

This year, I see bigger opportunities, bigger checks, dope therapy sessions, amazing travelling, and less unhealthy stress.
